Age 14, 1950 - This movie was made on location where the story actually happened, in Ely Nevada. To get there, Tommy had his first airplane ride; on an old DC3 with 2 seats on one side and one on the other. Times have changed!
The movie was a story about the Air Force saving the snow bound cattle by throwing hay out of Flying Box Car planes. Tommy got to ride along with them on a crew jump seat for the filming. Not a bad second airplane ride!
